Drunk Goat Racing

Michael Franklin and the Drunk Goat Racing Team

Hi I’m Mike owner, driver and also builder of this 1966 GTO.

I’ve built with the help and sponsorship from the BOLT SHOP, they have supplied the majority of the specialise bolts that they carry in stock and if something wasn’t available the team at Bolt Shop would go above and beyond to source just what I needed, they’re an awesome bunch and they’ve never let me down.

The Bolt Shop – They’ve Never Let Me Down.

We have just had our first race meet for the season spring nationals 29/11/2015. Unfortunately, we only had two runs on this day because we had a few problems with an oil leak and converter problems but still ran an 8.2-second and hit 167mph. This coming January on Saturday the ninth (09/01/2016), we will be at the nitro shootout at Meremere drag way and hope to complete our first ever 7-second run at over 170mph.

I would like to give big thanks to the BOLT SHOP and its staff for the transportation of the car to the track and towing of the car at the track and their on-going help and support.

I hope to see you on the track someday, many thanks,

Michael Franklin and the Drunk Goat Racing Team
